The Ballad of Baby Doe, with music by Douglas Moore and libretto by John Latouche, tells the epic true story of Horace Tabor, his wife Augusta, and his beloved Baby Doe against the backdrop of the Gilded Age of the West and the boom and bust of Colorado's silver mining industry in the 1880s. The production is directed by Linda Brovsky, with set design by Jimmy Rotondo, costumes by Rebecca Ming, and lighting by John Bartenstein. The cast stars Joshua Jeremiah as Horace Tabor, Carla Jablonski as Augusta Tabor, and Ashley Fabian as Baby Doe. Performances are presented in Opera North's 400-seat Circus Tent with full orchestra at the historic Blow Me Down Farm, part of the former Cornish Arts Colony, in Cornish, NH.
