One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest at Polanentheater

Adapted from Ken Kesey’s novel, the play centres on the convict McMurphy, who simulates mental illness in the hope that a transfer to a psychiatric hospital might ensure an early release. But McMurphy hasn’t bargained for the rigid regimen of Nurse Ratched, who dislikes their disruptive— though McMurphy’d say liberating— effect on the ward. The play shows how one person’s struggle against a ruthless system can grow into a powerful indictment of authority and conformism.

ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.
