Nashville Ballet announces tickets are now on sale for the beloved holiday tradition – Paul Vasterling’s Nashville’s Nutcracker returning to Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Jackson Hall this holiday season. The curtain will rise on the first production on Friday, Dec. 6 and will run through Thursday, Dec. 26. Single tickets start at just $45.
The timeless classic, originally choreographed by Artistic Director Emeritus Paul Vasterling, weaves some of Nashville’s rich history, sites and events throughout the Christmas classic. Set against the backdrop of the vibrant city, this performance invites audiences of all ages to revel in the splendor of the Sugar Plum Fairy's kingdom, the fierceness of the Mouse King and the timeless adventure of Clara and her Nutcracker Prince. Winner of a 2020 Emmy Award-winning film and named the best Dance Production of 2022 by Broadway World Nashville, this is Nashville’s featured holiday tradition.

November 17, 2021 Nashville Ballet will be returning to Tennessee Performing Arts Center this holiday season to present their annual performances of Nashville's Nutcracker. Running at TPAC's Jackson Hall December 15–24, the highly-anticipated event will feature live music presented by esteemed musicians from three local arts organizations.

December 13, 2019 Artistic Director Paul Vasterling has set Nashville's Nutcracker with the Nashville Symphony at the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition. Here, Drosselmeyer introduces Clara to the magical imagination and diversity of Nashville. In the ballet's opening, Clara sees a Nutcracker doll made by a German Toy Maker. Following the expo at Centennial Park, Vasterling creates a snowy scene of figure skating at Shelby Bottoms as partygoers head towards the Stahlbaum home. Among other Nashville nuances, Vasterling expands the battle scene to include American Infantry, Native American Soldiers, and Frontier Soldiers, all working together to defeat the Mouse King. The Sugar Plum Fairy holds court in the Parthenon Garden as a final homage to Nashville's branding as the “Athens of the South.'About the Theatre
