NMTN Presents: The First Stage at Analog with at Analog at The Hutton Hotel

The First Stage returns to Analog at Hutton Hotel with its second installment on Saturday, June 13th. The First Stage is a quarterly concert series at Analog, presented by New Musical Theater Nashville in partnership with ASCAP, which gives local Nashville theatrical composers and writers a chance to showcase their new work by performing 45-minute excerpts from original musicals in development in the intimate atmosphere of Analog.

This evening of close-up musical theater will feature songs from Johnny and the Devil’s Box, an Americana-soundtracked tale penned by renowned fiddle player J. Douglas Waterbury-Tieman, founder of NMTN, and country-rock dramedy Oil & Whiskey written by award-winning author Dax Wiley and composed by Nashville singer-songwriter and producer Kit Nolan.

The First Stage aims to center and appreciate the art form of musical theater in Nashville, as well as nurture its burgeoning scene by putting the spotlight on the talent and giving their original creative works a voice. Analog at Hutton Hotel, a home away from home for artists and visionaries, makes the perfect place for creatives to feel emboldened to try something new. With a living-room feel and a world-class sound design by audio engineer Michael Cronin, Analog is made for moments like these.
