The truth is a comedy about the lie.
Michel has any interest in concealing the truth to his wife, his best friend, as well as his mistress. When she reveals that she can't over do not "living in truth" and that she would like to reveal all to her husband, Michel must convince the disadvantages of the tell (the truth) and the benefits of the silence. When his wife surprises him lying red-handed, he must do everything to avert suspicions. And when his best friend confides that he suspects his own wife to deceive, it must manage to not be outed. In the end: lots of sweating and lots of bad faith.
