Kung Fu Zombies vs Southeast Asian Girl Scouts at Frey Theater

Theater Mu's world premiere uses humor and sci-fi to explore sisterhood, societal shifts, and the solidarity it takes to survive in a dystopian existence. Written by playwright Saymoukda Duangphouxay Vongsay and directed by Mu Artistic Director Fran de Leon, the play follows Girl Scouts Thin Mint, Samoa, and Do-Si-Do as they protect their Saint Paul community after the earth's destruction from violent sun fires. It is the stand-alone finale of Vongsay's Zombieverse trilogy, inspired by a real Southeast Asian Girl Scout troop in Saint Paul.
