Reefer Madness at LaCage NiteClub

Outskirts Theatre Company presents Reefer Madness, a campy comedy led by Riley Luettgen and Phillip Steenbekkers at LaCage NiteClub in Milwaukee's Historic Walker's Point neighborhood. The show is based on the 1998 off-Broadway production that satirized anti-drug and hyper-Christian propaganda popularized by leading politicians of the 1990s, itself a spin on morality-driven rhetoric from the late 1930s. The 2005 film adaptation featuring Alan Cumming, Kristen Bell, and Ana Gasteyer became a cult classic for its over-dramatization of thrill-seeking youth. Outskirts Theatre Company continues their season of political satire with a contemporary take on the material, following their run of The Producers at Waukesha Civic Theatre.
