“A Comedy of Tenors” brings a whole new meaning to the phrase “the show must go on” from Friday, February 23 – Sunday, March 11.
In this sequel to "Lend Me a Tenor," Saunders is desperate to coordinate a concert with the best voices on the planet, if they don’t try to kill each other first. Over-the-top Italian tenor, Tito thinks his wife, Maria, is cheating on him with Carlo, a rival tenor, and backs out of the concert. When the bellhop, Beppo, is discovered to be Tito’s doppelgänger and a brilliant singer, mistaken identities and bedroom hijinks ensue for a madcap delight. Add in a long-suffering assistant, strong-willed daughter, and ex-lover soprano, it is a frenzy of a farce promising an evening of sheer joy.
