This new creative initiative will 'build upon the indelible legacy of The Rep's Acting Company, expanding to include directors, writers, designers and musicians and actors, all of whom will be called Milwaukee Repertory Theater Associate Artists.'

During the 2012-2013 season, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre is producing three plays by prominent Jewish playwrights. MCT, JMM & the JCC decided this was an ideal opportunity to partner and provide additional educational and outreach opportunities to the Milwaukee area Jewish community.

Aaron Posner to Direct Milwaukee Rep's A CHRISTMAS CAROL

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is delighted to announce that Aaron Posner returns to The Rep to direct A Christmas Carol, performed annually at the historic Pabst Theater. Posner directed The Rep's To Kill a Mockingbird, which broke all-time attendance records last season, as well as the lyrical, beautifully-realized production of My Name is Asher Lev in 2010. This will be the first time that Posner has directed A Christmas Carol at Milwaukee Rep.

The event is also an occasion to recognize Founding Artistic Director Rob Goodman for his accomplishments during his 25 year tenure. The black tie evening will include cocktails and hors d'oeuvres followed by dinner and a program featuring inspirational stories by current young performers, students and alumni of First Stage. During this program a ground-breaking new fundraising initiative will be unveiled and Rob Goodman will be presented with a very special gift in honor of 25 years of transforming lives through theater.
