The Marcus Center Hosts Community Lunch Event, Featuring 'PHANTOM' Performers, 8/14

The Marcus Center, American Family Insurance and Brewers Charities are hosting a special lunchtime event on the Marcus Center's Peck Pavilion Friday, August 14 at 12 p.m.

The event will kick off with a performance by MYSO Calypso followed by a presentation from the Milwaukee Ballet Company. In addition, two members of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA touring cast will perform songs from the Broadway musical.

300 children who are participating in summer programs from the following organizations will be our guests for the event: Journey House, WE Indians, Hmong American Peace Academy, Career Youth Development and The Salvation Army.

"We are so excited to be hosting this community event," said Paul Mathews, Marcus Center President & CEO. "It is such a terrific way to give back to the community and we are grateful to our sponsors and the talented cast of THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA for joining us in this effort."

There are a limited number of tickets available to the public for this event. The price is $50.00/ticket and includes a reserved seat for the event, a gourmet boxed lunch and a donation of $25.00 to benefit the youth programs of the organizations listed above. THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will play Wednesday, August 5 through Sunday, August 30. Performances are Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm, Friday evenings at 8 pm, Saturdays at 2 and 8 pm, and Sundays at 1 and 6:30 pM. Prices start at $22 and vary in range depending on performance, seat location, and date of purchase. Tickets go on sale Sunday, April 19 at the Marcus Center Box Office, 929 North Water Street, Downtown Milwaukee, all Ticketmaster outlets, online at Ticketmaster.com or call (800) 982-2787.
