The flagship production of Brevity Shakespeare, Hamlet, will be performed on August 29, 30, and 31 at the First Baptist Church of Ypsilanti, 1110 West Cross Street. Curtain at 8:00 pm. Running time is approximately ninety minutes. Hamlet is set in the postcolonial years of an unnamed Caribbean island nation: lush and decaying greenery, crashing waves on rocky cliffs, and thick, heavy heat. The production features Macallan Winning, Emily Wilson-Tobin, Aminata Sow, and Glen Thomas Rideout. Karl Sikkenga, Artistic Director of Brevity Shakespeare, directs.
