The University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance presents Peter and the Starcatcher Dec. 8 at 7:30, Dec. 9 & 10 at 8 PM, and Dec. 11 at 2 PM at the Power Center for the Performing Arts.

BEFORE PETER PAN MET WENDY, a lost orphan boy and his comrades were thrown into an adventure that one can only hope to imagine. Let your own imagination fly with this tale of love, teamwork, and the power of storytelling as a group of actors create a limitless world and the numerous characters that exist within it.
Based on the 2006 instant best-selling book by comedian Dave Barry and novelist Ridley Pearson, Peter and the Starcatcher debuted at the La Jolla Playhouse in 2009. The show opened on Broadway in 2012 starring University of Michigan alumna Celia Keenan-Bolger as Molly and was nominated for a record nine Tony Awards-more than any new American play in Tony Awards history.
Peter and the Starcatcher is presented by the Department of Theatre & Drama at the University of Michigan, School of Music, Theatre & Dance. All performers in the production are BFA Theatre Performance students. The artistic staff for the show is a mix of students and professional artists. The U-M Department of Theatre & Drama provides rigorous 4-year programs in performance, design & production, and theatre studies. Students benefit from the diversity and sophistication offered by a large first-class institution, while enjoying an intimate, conservatory style training in their chosen field of study.
