Palm Beach Symphony's fifth Masterworks Concert of the 2026-2027 season features cellist Julian Schwarz performing alongside Music Director Gerard Schwarz at Dreyfoos Concert Hall at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts. The program includes Mozart's Overture to The Magic Flute, Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4 in A Major, Op. 90 "Italian," and Richard Strauss's Don Quixote, a tone poem with an intricate solo cello part. The concert marks a collaboration between father and son, with Julian Schwarz bringing his interpretation of the demanding cello role that represents the title character from Cervantes' classic story.
