God of Carnage, written by Yasmina Reza and translated by Christopher Hampton, is a Broadway hit described as a "comedy of manners...without the manners." The play follows two sets of parents who meet in a Brooklyn apartment to discuss a playground altercation between their sons, and what begins as a polite conversation quickly devolves into name-calling, physical altercations, and alcohol-fueled hysteria. Directed by Stuart Meltzer, the production examines the fragility of social etiquette, political polarization, and the distracting nature of modern technology, and features a cast of local actors and designers.
