A shy young chef is sent on a quest to make Dragon Soup before nightfall, meeting knights, pirates, mermaids and a not-so-scary dragon along the way, discovering that bravery means trying anyway. An original GableStage commission, this devised theatre piece was created and directed by Ivan Lopez in collaboration with cast members Elizabeth Chavez, Luis Diaz and Maleeha Naseer, who bring 13 puppets to life with original music by Hola*Hi. The show is the inaugural production of GableStage's new Family Theatre Series and its arts-in-healthcare initiative, A Dose of Fun. Each performance is followed by a Build-Your-Own-Puppet workshop led by the cast.
