Kevin Black's recent hit production, The Soul of Motor City, had audiences on their feet and dancing in the aisles.  The show received a Carbonell recommendation, and was extended numerous times past its originally scheduled closing date.  It's no wonder then, that Stage Door Theatre's Executive Producer Derelle Bunn has asked Black to develop another brand new show for her ever-popular theatre.

New World Symphony Announces 2016-17 WALLCAST Concert Series

Led by Co-Founder and Artistic Director Michael Tilson Thomas (MTT), the New World Symphony, America's Orchestral Academy (NWS), launches the fifth season of its WALLCAST concert series, presented by Citi, onOctober 15. The series features 11 concerts projected on the 7,000 square-foot eastern facade of the New World Center for audiences in adjacent SoundScape Park, which is equipped with over 160 Meyer Sound speakers for an immersive sound experience.

The child of playwright Ginger Reiter and comedian Jackie Mason, Sheba Mason has been performing since appearing in her mother's plays at the age of 2. Honing her own skills onstage for years, Mason has become a fixture of the Manhattan comedy scene. Spouting witticisms about everything from politics to grandmothers, she has also starred as her own mother in the show 'Both Sides of a Famous Love Affair: The Jackie Mason Musical' and in 'Mel Schwartz Sleeps With Mae West.'

Local playwright Donna Carbone returns to Harbourside with another dinner theater presentation of her play, Shell of a Man.This time the production will be offered with a bit of a twist. Ticket holders will enjoy a delicious prix fixe meal at Another Broken Egg Cafe and then walk a few steps to the new Vanilla Box Theatre, a venue created especially for this event. The dates are November 10, 11 and 12 - Veterans Day weekend.Dinner begins at 5:00 pm. The show begins at 7:00 pm.
