Palm Beach County has a multitude of notable bridges and residents showcased their beauty through stunning images submitted during the 'Bridges of Palm Beach County' photo contest. The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts partnered with the Palm Beach Photographic Centre on this unique contest promoting the final Kravis On Broadway production of the season, THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY that opens on Tuesday, April 26, and runs through Sunday, May 1. Scroll down for a look at the winners!

The winning photographs, were chosen by Photographic Centre president and chief executive officer Fatima NeJame, who was recently selected to be one of the reviewers at the prestigious fourth annual New York Portfolio Review, reveal diverse perspectives of the different expanses throughout the County.

The Grand Prize winner is Chris Kalmbach for his stunning black and white image of the PBI highway flyover. Chris will receive a special THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY gift basket from the Kravis Center that includes a pair of tickets to the Tony Award®-winning show, Broadway soundtrack from the production, a copy of the award-winning novel on which the musical is based, and a DVD of the film version starring Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood. He will also receive a $200 gift certificate good for any class offered at the Palm Beach Photographic Centre

Runners up include Jeffrey Langlois for his image of a bird flying underneath the Lake Worth Bridge, and Walter Johnson for his photo of the bridge spanning Olympia at Forest Hill Boulevard. Runners up will receive special THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY prizes and tickets to the show.

"We were so impressed with the beautiful and diverse images captured through all social media platforms during the contest," says Kravis Center Director of Marketing Linda Bryant Birdsey. "The story of The Bridges of Madison County centers around a National Geographic Photographer assigned to photograph the beauty of the covered bridges of Madison County. Thanks to our followers, this contest helped us to not only spread the word about the show, but to also come together as a community and discover the beauty of our own local architecture."

"I have juried countless photography shows and I have to say the quality of the submissions in this contest astounded me," says NeJame. "Every single one of the images was so beautifully executed I had a really hard time choosing one over another. Each one of them is worthy of being displayed here at the Photographic Centre."

Visitors to the Palm Beach Photographic Centre will be able to see Chris Kalmbach's winning photo on display in the Centre's lobby as a part of the new Photo of the Month series.

One of the most romantic stories ever written, THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY won the 2014 Tony Awards for Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations. The musical adaptation of the best-selling novel and popular film will play at The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts April 26 - May 1.

Based on the best-selling novel by Robert James Waller, THE BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY tells the story of Iowa housewife Francesca Johnson and her life-changing, four-day whirlwind romance with traveling photographer Robert Kincaid. It's an unforgettable story of two people caught between decision and desire, as a chance encounter becomes a second chance at so much more.
