Dr. Blaise Allen, Director of Community Outreach for the Palm Beach Poetry Festival, today invited local poets and poetry fans with a musical bent to a very special workshop, to be held on Saturday, November 14 at noon.

The workshop, "Writing Songs and Lyrics: Musicians' Showcase," will be held at Delray Beach Center for the Arts - Crest Theatre, 51 N. Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach. It's free!

Hear acclaimed local, label signed recording artists as they discuss their lyric writing process and play original music, including Bill Hartman, Stephen Minotti, Shawn Mallon, Aymber Daniel, Cassidy Diana, Kristen Spencer, Eric Muniz, and other special guest musicians TBA.

"Come and learn how to write lyrics. Hear all about the process of songwriting from acclaimed local, record label signed recording artists. They'll teach you the basics of songwriting and will also discuss their approach to writing lyrics," says Dr. Allen. "There is no charge for this event, so please free to invite your friends. Artist CDs will be available after the Showcase."

For any questions about this free event or to RSVP, contact Dr. Blaise Allen, Director of Community Outreach, at drblaiseallen@aol.com.

The 12th Annual Palm Beach Poetry Festival will be held January 18-23, 2016 at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts.
