Single tickets for the Maltz Jupiter Theatre's ninth season of great theater, The Best of Broadway, will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 29.

The 2011/12 season will begin with Alfred Hitchcock's The 39 Steps, an engaging, fast-paced "whodunit" that celebrates the magic of theatre. The Theatre will continue with the family favorite Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a colorful retelling of the story of Joseph, his coat of many colors and his amazing ability to interpret dreams. Next up is Cabaret, the energetic, politically charged, seductive and daring Tony-award winning production that is ranked among the greatest American musicals. Then, Red takes a provocative look at Abstract expressionist Mark Rothko, as he works feverishly in his studio on the Bowery to complete the biggest commission in the history of modern art. The smash season ends with the classic Tony Award-winning musical, Hello, Dolly!, which takes us on a whirlwind race around New York at the turn of the twentieth century with America's most beloved matchmaker, Dolly Levi.

"This season is the most ambitious and the best we've ever assembled," said Andrew Kato, the Theatre's artistic director. "All of our productions are either Tony-nominated or Tony Award-winning titles. Some are classics and others are brand new, but we are confident that our audiences will love each and every one of them."

Single show ticket prices vary from $39-$60, with flexible performance schedule options. To purchase the best seats available, the multiple Carbonell Award-winning Theatre is also offering two convenient subscription plans, the four-play and the five-play, for the 2011/12 season.

Subscribers save 10 percent to 15 percent on single ticket prices. Subscribers also get one fee-free ticket exchange per show, and advance notice and ability to purchase tickets to limited engagements and other special events. Subscription groups of 20 or more receive an additional discount. Season subscriptions are $151-$252.

In addition to the theatre's season shows, tickets are currently on sale for the theater's annual series of outstanding concerts, plays, films and children's shows.
