KISS of the SPIDER WOMAN

Two political prisoners: A gay window-dresser and a socialist rebel are forced to share a prison cell in 1980s Argentina. The warden has bribed Molina to spy on Valentin. But as they seek solace in one another's company and as Molina entertains them both with his movie memories of his beloved "Spider Woman," they bond. Can Molina still betray the new-found object of his affection?

This is Manuel Puig's stage adaptation of the same novel that served as source material for the critically-acclaimed movie with William Hurt (who won an Oscar for his performance) and Raul Julia and for the Tony winning Best Musical starring Chita Rivera (who won a Tony for her performance in the title role.)

Directed by Stuart Meltzer
