'As You Like It' At New Theatre

By: Jul. 29, 2008

"AS YOU LIKE IT"  COMES ALIVE ON STAGE AT NEW THEATRE

New Theatre kicks off the 2008 – 2009 season with one of the Bard's most accessible romantic comedies, As You Like It, which follows Shakespeare's gorgeous heroine, Rosalind, into a forest of possibilities. The nature of true love versus romantic love are put to the test amidst misunderstandings, gender confusions, and mistaken identities.

New Theatre veterans Elise Girardin, Clint Hooper, Stephen Neal, James Randolph, Odell Rivas, Wayne Robinson, Jr., Katherine Michelle Tanner and Christopher Vicchiollo bring life into Shakepeare's characters all guided by director Roberto Prestigiacomo. Making his New Theatre debut is Cliff Burgess along with Acting Apprentices/Interns Betsy Graver, Jennipher Murphy, Joshua Robinson, David Sirois and Jessa Thomas.

Returning to New Theatre will be Production Stage Manager Betsy Paull-Rick, Lighting Designer Travis Neff, Sound Designer Rob Rick, Composer M. Anthony Reimer, Costume Designer K. Blair Brown and Scenic Deisgner Rob Eastman-Mullins.
