THE 2008 MIAMI IMPROV FESTIVAL PRESENTED BY JUST THE FUNNY

The 2008 Miami Improv Festival (MIF 2008) presented by Just The Funny, a multi-weekend festival featuring improv and sketch comedy from around the world, continues to supply the laughs for it's second weekend installment on Friday, August 22, 2008, and keeps the fun rolling through Sunday, August 24, 2008, at the Just The Funny Theater & Training Center located at 3119 Coral Way.  MIF's 6^th anniversary edition boasts top improv and sketch comedy acts from around the world, performing shows and teaching workshops at the festival.

The 2008 Miami Improv Festival presented by Just The Funny features headliner, The Oops Guys! (Dennis T. Giacino and Fiely A. Matias,) fresh from their world tour, this wild and crazy cabaret/improv tandem will be performing their hit shows Loungezilla!, and Do I Make You Horny?

Loungezilla! (Friday at 9:00 pm) has travelled across America, Canada, Europe, and Asia, with its naughty brand of twisted music, raunchy comedy, and an X-rated 3-D finale.

Do I Make You Horny? – The Naughty Improvised Game Show (Saturday at 9:00 pm) sends up reality shows in which contestants do anything for a buck.  This award-winning, adult oriented, improvised game show features zany contestants, whipped cream, 'adult' dollar store prizes, bananas, audience voting, a smarmy host, Dennis T. Giacino (think every cheesy game show host rolled up into one,) and his own over-the-top Asian male Vanna White, Fiely A. Matias.

South Florida locals will recognize Miami's own mainstay of improv comedy, Just The Funny, which will be closing after The Oops Guys! with its own popular brand of improv comedy.

MIF 2008 also offers the public a rare chance to get in on the improv action with a set of master classes taught by Susan Messing from Chicago's famous iO (formerly Improv Olympic,) where students can learn how to do improv from one the nation's mainstays in improv education.  Classes will be offered during the day on both Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 24.
