In The Producers, the curtain rises on a washed-up Broadway producer, Max Bialystock and his nervous accountant, Leo Bloom. Together, the two plan an extravagant scheme to swindle their supporters - hundreds of sex-starved Little Old Ladies - out of millions by planning the biggest Broadway flop in history.
