Singin' in the Rain at Hackmatack Playhouse

Set in the 1920s as Hollywood's silent films gave way to talkies, Singin' in the Rain follows dashing leading man Don Lockwood, his sidekick Cosmo Brown, and aspiring actress Kathy Selden as they navigate fame, friendship, and a rapidly changing film industry. The production is directed by Boston-based director A. Nora Long, with Musical Direction by Parker Eastman, Choreography by Emy Holden, Costume Design by James McLaughlin, and Scenic and Technical Direction by Dane Leeman. Teddy Wilkin plays Don Lockwood, Allie George plays Kathy Selden, and Marilyn Wilson plays Cosmo Brown. Long's reimagining frames the story through a modern 2026 lens, presenting the classic Hollywood musical as a comfort watch experienced by Kathy before she finds herself living out the story.
