Small Town, the world premiere musical by John Mellencamp, features a book by Naomi Wallace and is directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall. Set in a small town experiencing turmoil, it follows the lives of Jack and Diane, two lovers determined to maintain their youthful spirit amidst the struggles of their community. The musical incorporates Mellencamp's iconic hits, including "Hurts So Good," "Lonely Ol’ Night," and "Jack and Diane," painting a vivid portrait of resilience and hope. The production runs at Ogunquit Playhouse from October 1 to November 1, 2026.
