Wicked tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz, exploring the unlikely friendship between two young women: one born with emerald-green skin and the other a popular blonde. As their bond develops, society's perceptions label one as "good" and the other as "wicked." The production, featuring music by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, returns to the Overture Center for the Arts from July 24 to July 27, 2025. The cast includes a talented lineup that brings this beloved musical to life.

BWW Review: WICKED at Overture Center
March 18, 2020 On the same day that Broadway went dark due to coronavirus concerns, the show went on for WICKED in Madison, Wisconsin. As the curtain rose, and before I was totally swept up in the experience of WICKED, I took a moment to wonder how it felt for the cast and crew to be performing when their Broadway relations were on a sudden hiatus, and how long would they continue their run? It turns out, not long. It was their final performance for the foreseeable future.About the Theatre
