The North American tour of the Broadway musical The Great Gatsby, based on the beloved novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, follows eccentric millionaire Jay Gatsby in his pursuit of lost love Daisy Buchanan, set against the backdrop of the Roaring Twenties. The production features a jazz and pop-infused score with music and lyrics by Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen, a book by Kait Kerrigan, direction by Marc Bruni, and choreography by Dominique Kelley. The production won the 2024 Tony Award for Best Costume Design, with costume design by Linda Cho, scenic and projection design by Paul Tate dePoo III, sound design by Brian Ronan, and lighting design by Cory Pattak. The Broadway production began previews on March 29, 2024, and opened on April 25, 2024, where it continues to break box office records.
