Rubbery with Violets, Or, If You Can See This, Thank Your Optician at Broom Street Theater

Unusual maladies and unwanted neighbors plague a pretty young receptionist on her first day at a busy doctor's office. Disgruntled patients continuously lament the mysterious absence of her predecessor. Unhelpfully, her mother and their out-of-control slobbering dog keep showing up to cheer her on. A traffic accident interrupts an incipient romance with a handsome cop, hurrying him away along with the nurse and doctor. Two bumblers planning a heist ruin her brand-new pantyhose. Sperm, earwax, broken eye glasses, and a newborn carry this fast-paced romp to its hilarious conclusion. Wordplay and physical comedy prove once again that laughter is, indeed, the best medicine.
