The Kentucky Center to Present A/Tonal This April

The Kentucky Center will present A/Tonal on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 8 p.m. at The Kentucky Center, Clark-Todd Hall (501 W. Main St., Louisville). As a champion of new music, A/Tonal has been featured on 90.5 WUOL's Unheard series, LONGLEASH's Loretto Project and IU Southeast's Ogle Center concert series.

A/Tonal consists of core members clarinetist Carrie RavenStem, pianist Jessica Dorman and composers Daniel Gilliam and Erich Stem. Gilliam is also a well-known on-air personality at WUOL and host of the award-winning series African American Voices.

The group has collaborated with local flautist Amy Ensel, baritone Chad Sloan, oboist Jayne Drummond, violinists Robert Simonds and JP Brien-Slack, and cellist Felix Borges.

A/Tonal presents All-American music for its debut at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts, with chamber music by Louisville composers Erich Stem and Daniel Gilliam, Honest Music by Nico Muhly, Static (the 2007 Grawemeyer-winner) by Sebastian Currier and more.
