Pandora Productions continues the 2018-19 season with Peter Parnell's funny and touching look at fidelity and gay parenting in DADA WOOF PAPA HOT. The title refers to the first words of the offstage child of Alan and Rob. "Dada" for Rob, "woof" for dog, "Papa" for Alan and "hot" for radiator. But as Alan explains, if you put those four words together it's 'what every gay dad wants to hear'... The play will run January 11 - 26 at the company's home at the Henry Clay Theatre and is sponsored by Crosby Law Offices, PSC. (**please see note below regarding change in scheduling.)

Two couples, who recently met at a parent group, are out to dinner at the trendy new restaurant in NYC. The four share pics of their kids, trade horror stories from pre-school applications, and talk about their jobs. They find plenty of common ground as gay couples raising kids in the city, and a play date with their children is set. As we follow these two pairs through their developing friendship, the conversation deepens from after school pick-up to the cracks in their marriages - struggles which are mirrored in the relationships of their straight friends. DADA WOOF PAPA HOT captures the urban parent experience. But what happens next? What pieces of your former self are lost when becoming a parent? Is gaining entry and acceptance into mainstream culture worth giving up what made you unique?

DADA WOOF PAPA HOT is being directed by the company's Artistic Director, Michael J. Drury. The cast includes: Shayne Brakefield, Drew Sutherland, Mitchell Martin, Mandi Elkins Hutchins, Brent Gettelfinger and Heather Green.

DADA WOOF PAPA HOT will run January 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 at 7:30 p; January 20 at 5:30 p with the only matinee set for January 13 at 2:30 p. The production will be presented at the Henry Clay Theatre in the historic Henry Clay building located at 604 South Third Street, 3rd Floor, Downtown Louisville. Single tickets are available for $20 in advance and $22 day of show for this production online at http://www.PandoraProds.org, or by phone at 502.216.5502.
