By the time Darryl Maximilian Robinson appeared as The Chairman Mr. William Cartwright and Mayor Thomas Sapsea in 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood', he was no stranger to playing a leading role in a musical having portrayed such roles as The King opposite skilled actress and singer Elizabeth Lee Taylor as Mrs. Anna 34 years before in the 1984 Enchanted Hills Playhouse of Syracuse, Indiana revival of Rodgers' and Hammerstein's 'The King and I'.
