California School of the Arts – San Gabriel Valley students will stage Peter and the Starcatcher, a whimsical prequel to the story of Peter Pan, from November 14-16. The play follows a young orphan who teams up with Molly, the adventurous daughter of a Starcatcher, to protect a magical treasure from the villainous pirate Black Stache. With a cast of 22 student performers and an emphasis on imaginative staging, the production promises to engage audiences in themes of love, friendship, and the quest for belonging. The creative team, including co-director Graham Jackson, aims to challenge the performers to bring diverse characters and settings to life through dynamic and precise movements.
