The Effect is a play written by award-winning playwright Lucy Prebble that explores whether love is merely a chemical reaction or something beyond scientific comprehension. The story follows two clinical trial participants, Tristan and Connie, who fall in love during a drug study and must reckon with whether their connection is real or simply a side effect.
