Burn Scar: A Comedy of Catastrophic Proportions is a solo show born from the chaos of evacuating the Palisades fire — dogs, meds and a go-bag in tow — only to discover that surviving the disaster was just the beginning. What followed was a darkly comic odyssey through sketchy Airbnb’s, Trader Joe's wine section and the labyrinthine cruelty of the American insurance system, a world the performer finds darkly mirrored in the broader political moment. Hardened by loss and bureaucratic indignity, the show traces one person's transformation into what firefighters call a "burn scar" — earth scorched so thoroughly it becomes brittle and impenetrable. But in true comedic fashion, the universe had other plans, and what emerges is an unexpectedly moving argument for why faith in humanity might just be the most radical act of all
