The multi-talented Tom Wopat will step into the shoes of master attorney Billy Flynn in the touring production of Chicago when it makes a stop at the Orange County Performing Arts Center for a limited one week engagement June 26 to July 1 in Segerstrom Hall.

The production marks Wopat's return to the road after starring in Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway and in the Tony Award-winning revival of 42nd Street. Wopat enjoyed a nearly two-year run as Frank Butler opposite Bernadette Peters in Annie Get Your Gun, for which he received a Tony Award nomination. Wopat is well-known to television audiences for his seven seasons in the TV phenomenon "The Dukes of Hazard" and from his work on the hit CBS sitcom Cybill. His appearance in Chicago marks a return to The Center, who appeared in Annie Get Your Gun in 2000 and in the Cabaret Series in 2002.

Produced by Tony Award winners, Barry and Fran Weissler and under the Tony Award winning direction of Walter Bobby and spotlighting Tony Award-winning choreography by Ann Reinking in the style of the legendary Bob Fosse and re-created by Gary Chryst, Chicago features the music and lyrics of master Broadway multi-award winning composers John Kander and Fred Ebb, with book by Ebb and Fosse.

Chicago, winner of six Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival and a Grammy Award for its cast recording, has the distinction of being Broadway's longest revival. The phenomenal success of Chicago spawned the Academy Award winning film version.

Chicago tickets range from $20 to $70, and are available at The Center's Box Office at 600 Town Center Drive in Costa Mesa, by calling (714) 556-2787 or online at www.ocpac.org.
