The Annenberg Theatre will present Upright Cabaret's RHYTHM OF THE NIGHT tonight, April 27 at 8:00 pm. RHYTHM OF THE NIGHT is the third installment of Upright Cabaret's "American Icon" Series and will star Olivier Award-Winner Lesli Margherita, Lexi Lawson (Rent, In The Heights)) and Rogelio Douglas Jr. (In The Heights, The Little Mermaid)). This high energy, multi-media Cabaret celebrates the music of Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan and Santana and features pop favorites such as Livin' La Vida Loca, Shake Your Bon-Bon, Rhythm Is Gonna Get You, Anything for You, Smooth, Let It Shine, and more, performed live with the Upright Cabaret band!

L.A.'s famed Upright Cabaret showcases the "next generation" of world-class performers and boasts one of the most extensive and diverse rosters of talent in the country with alumni including Frenchie Davis ("The Voice"), Adam Lambert ("American Idol"), Lea Michele ("Glee"), Neil Patrick Harris ("How I Met Your Mother"), Tony Award® winner Lea Salonga, Grammy® winners Paula Cole and Taylor Dayne  plus cast members from over 75 Broadway productions including Wicked, Rent, Jersey Boys and Spamalot.

Lesli Margherita received the prestigious Olivier Award for her work in the musical Zorro on the West End. Lesli trained at UCLA and was soon after chosen to star in MGM's television series "Fame LA", directed by Kenny Ortega. She has gone on to star and recur on numerous us television shows and pilots including "The Suite Life On Deck", "Charmed", "NYPD Blue", "The District", "The King of Queens", "Thieves", "JAG", "Fighting Fitzgeralds", "Nikki," "Kristin", and "On The Lot", produced by Steven Spielberg. Film credits include: Joel Schumacher's The Number 23 and the Sam Raimi produced horror film Boogeyman 2  She recently starred opposite Gary Beach as the Lady of the Lake in Spamalot at Sacramento Music Circus and headlined the West Coast Premiere of Michael John LaChiusa's See What I Wanna See at The Blank Theater in Hollywood and Rated RSO at the Boston Court Performing Arts Center. Her nightclub act, "All Hail the Queen" continues to play to sellout crowds throughout LA.

Rogelio Douglas Jr.  first gained attention as a lead tap dancer in RIVERDANCE: THE SHOW on Broadway, its world and national tours and in the film RIVERDANCE: LIVE FROM GENEVA.  He is an original Broadway cast member of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda musical IN THE HEIGHTS, and also starred as "Benny" in the production's first national tour. He starred in the Broadway production of THE LITTLE MERMAID as Sebastian, the Crab. Off- Broadway, Rogelio appeared in the musical CELIA: THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF CELIA CRUZ and the 25th anniversary performance of DREAMGIRLS with Jennifer Holliday. Currently, Rogelio is working on his first full length album with Printz Board, Producer and Music Director for The Black Eyed Peas under his Beets & produce Music House and Production Company.

Lexi Lawson garnered the national spotlight on AMERICAN IDOL Season 8, where Simon Cowell stated "100 percent yes!!!" She made it to Hollywood but left the show to play MIMI in the world Broadway tour of Rent starring Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp. She has also played Vanessa in the 1st National tour of In The Heights and Carmen in Fame (Macau, China) among more than a dozen other productions. Her TV and Film credits include "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" (2009 – New Line Cinema) starring Michael Douglas, Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Gardner, "Can you Hear The Music" (Intermedia), "What Would You Do?" (ABC), "Evergirls" (Nickelodeon), "Public Nuisance" (Comedy Central).

Upright Cabaret brings its unique brand of cabaret entertainment to La Mirada, Thousand Oaks, Palm Springs and Hollywood! Co-Founder and Producer Chris Isaacson has created, produced and promoted over 450 events since forming his company in 2004 in addition to his critically acclaimed concerts "Shoshana Sings Streisand" starring Shoshana Bean, "Stephen Schwartz: Making Good" featuring Wicked creator/lyricist Stephen Schwartz, "Eden Espinosa: Me" starring Eden Espinosa and "New York's Finest: The Leading Men of Broadway" starring Tony Award-winner Levi Kreis, Tony Award-nominee Brandon Victor Dixon, American Idol's Ace Young and David Burnham with NBC's The Voice star Frenchie Davis under the direction of Tony Award-nominee Sam Harris at the Ford Amphitheatre. This past summer, Isaacson produced Broadway sensation Jennifer Leigh Warren in the new show entitled "Diamonds Are Forever: The Songs of Dame Shirley Bassey" at the Renberg Theatre directed by Richard Jay-Alexander, and presented the West Coast debut of Saturday Night Live star Ana Gasteyer in "Elegant Songs from a Handsome Woman" at Catalina Jazz Club.

Upright Cabaret seeks to celebrate old style cabaret while simultaneously turning it on its ear, bringing young Broadway and young Hollywood together in a live setting RHYTHM OF THE NIGHT is presented at The Annenberg Theatre, uniquely located within The Palm Springs Art Museum, on Friday, April 27 at 8:00 pm.
