After a completely sold out six week run in Los Angeles, and recent 12 show sellout in Chicago, producers Shane Scheel and Siobhan O'Neill of Ad Astra Live are happy to announce that FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES at West Hollywood's DBA will extend through May 31.

2015 marks the 30th anniversary of the release of The Breakfast Club, the John Hughes classic which epitomizes one of the most influential pop cultural contributions of our time and changed the way many young people looked at everything from class to friendship, love to sex and fashion to music. These themes are explored throughout FOR THE RECORD: DEAR JOHN HUGHES by this 'brat pack' for the modern age that includes leading talent from stage, the recording world and screen as well as rising stars - all embodying iconic movie characters and giving them new musical voices. The immersive concert mash-up, where iconic music and moments from the John Hughes' movies Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club, Weird Science, Pretty In Pink, Some Kind of Wonderful and Ferris Bueller's Day Off spring to life with an epic new wave inspired soundtrack, includes songs such as Don't You Forget About Me, We Are Not Alone, If You Leave, Pretty In Pink, If You Were Here, True as well as classic moments like Danke Shoen, Twist And Shout, Try A Little Tenderness and many more.

The all-star cast includes Evan Rachel Wood (Thirteen, Across The Universe), current Dancing With The Stars contestant Rumer Willis (House Bunny, 90210), Lindsey Gort (Carrie Diaries), Jackie Seiden (Jersey Boys), Ruby Lewis (We Will Rock You), Tomasina Abate, Alec Michael Cyganowski, Joanna Jones, Kelley Jakle (Pitch Perfect 2), Olivia Harris, Ciaran McCarthy, Patrick Mulvey (Broadway's Billy Elliot), Peter Porte (Baby Daddy), Doug Kreeger (Broadway's Les Miserables), Brian Justin Crum (Broadway's Wicked, We Will Rock You), Payson Lewis, Jonah Platt, James Byous, Zach Villa (Broadway's War Horse, Here Lies Love), Dionne Gipson, Michael Thomas Grant, and Alex Wyse (Broadway's Lysistrata Jones).

Created by Shane Scheel, Christopher Lloyd Bratten and Anderson Davis, the FOR THE RECORD series reinvents cabaret for a new generation. Choreography by Emmy Award nominee Spencer Liff (So You Think You Can Dance). Christopher Lloyd Bratten serves as Music Director. Directed by Anderson Davis. Produced by Shane Scheel and Siobhan O'Neill for Ad Astra Live. The series has featured the works of acclaimed directors Quentin Tarantino, Baz Luhrmann, Coen Brothers, Paul Thomas Anderson, Martin Scorsese, Robert Zemeckis, and Garry and Penny Marshall.

The series originally began in 2009 in a small bar in Los Angeles, CA.
