Disney Hall to Salute Broadway Musicals with June Lockhart & Bill Handel, 6/13
Rhapsody in Blue and a "Salute To Broadway Musicals" will highlight the exciting 6th Annual Disney Hall Concert Extraordinaire on Saturday evening, June 13. Actress June Lockhart will be a special guest and KFI radio host Bill Handel will MC. Founder-Conductor Gary S. Greene, Esq. will lead the LA Lawyers Phil, Legal Voices and His Big Band of Barristers. The program will include a fabulous arrangement of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue for orchestra and big band, Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms for orchestra and chorus and "Jupiter" from Holst's The Planets. Show-stopping Broadway songs from The Sound of Music, Westside Story, My Fair Lady, Guys and Dolls, South Pacific, A Chorus Line, Phantom of the Opera, LES MISERABLES and Wicked will make this a program not to be missed. 50% of ticket prices may be tax deductible with 25% of the proceeds benefiting the LA County and Beverly Hills Bar Association foundations for those who cannot afford legal services. Tony award winning star and attorney Michael Maguire, Esq. will be featured in songs from Phantom of the Opera and Les Miz. Jim Raycroft is choral director.

For more information and tickets, visit www.LALawyersPhil.org.Proclaimed by the City of Los Angeles as "LA's Only Legal Orchestra," the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic was founded by attorney/conductor Gary S. Greene. The orchestra held its first rehearsal on January 19, 2009 with 30 legal musicians_and performed its debut concert on January 30, 2009. Since then, the orchestra has grown to 75 members and performed more than 40 concerts, raising more than tens of thousands of dollars to benefit those who cannot afford legal services and for other charitable purposes. Greene also organized Legal Voices, and on April 30, 2011, the chorus held its first rehearsal. Three months later on July 30, 2011, they debuted with the LA Lawyers Phil at Walt Disney Concert Hall. Consisting of more than 100 voices, Legal Voices gave a triumphant performance of the finale of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, the Ode To Joy. On that date, the County of Los Angeles proclaimed the Los Angeles Lawyers Philharmonic and Legal Voices as "LA's Only Legal Orchestra and Chorus."
