Montblanc and Urban Arts Partnership presented the highly anticipated return of THE 24 HOUR PLAYS BENEFIT, now in its second year in Los Angeles. Hollywood actors joined forces to participate in this one-night-only live performance, produced by Kevin Chinoy and Francesca Silvestri of the Freestyle Picture Company and the 24 Hour Company. The entire creative process, from writing to directing and finally performance, took place in under 24 hours!

The cast included Jason Biggs (American Pie series, Mad Love), Josh Dallas (Once Upon a Time, Thor), Brooklyn Decker (What to Expect When you’re Expecting, Just Go With It), Ashley Greene (Twilight), Alexander Ludwig (The Hunger Games, Race to Witch Mountain), Lamorne Morris (New Girl, The Guild), Diane Neal (Law and Order: SVU), Rosie Perez (Gods Behaving Badly, Pineapple Express), Jason Ritter (Parenthood, The Event), Ramon Rodriguez (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Battle Los Angeles) Tracie Thoms (Cold Case, Rent), and Wilmer Valderrama (Awake, That '70s Show), Joshua Jackson (Fringe: FOX), Edi Gathegi (X-MEN: First Class), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Larry Crowne, Touch), Constance Zimmer (The Babymakers, Entourage), David Eigenberg (Sex and the City), Simon Helberg (The Big Bang Theory), David Krumholtz (A Very Harold & Kumar 3d Christmas), Gabriel Mann (Revenge), Jessica Szohr (Gossip Girl), and Mircea Monroe (Episodes, The Change Up), Charity Wakefield (Mockingbird Lane NBC, The Raven), Collins Pennie (In Time, Stomp the Yard).

Writers included: Wendy West (Law and Order: SVU, Dexter), Rachel Axler (Emmy Award Winner for The Daily Show, New Girl, Parks and Recreation), Stephen Godchaux (Lifetime’s FIVE, Dead Like Me), Samantha McIntyre (Bored to Death), Kayla Alpert (Confessions of a Shopaholic). Directors include: Leigh Kilton Smith (Acting Consultant to the Stars), Andy Fickman (Jewtopia, You Again), and Victor Nelli, Jr (GCB, Once Upon a Time), Michael Peretzian (Dramalogue Award and Los Angeles Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Director), Gail Mancuso (Modern Family), Lee Tolan Krieger (Celeste and Jesse Forever)

The creative process of THE 24 HOUR PLAYS in Los Angeles began at 10:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15th. Six writers, six directors, twenty-four actors, musical guest, and production team met at The Broad Stage, Santa Monica (1310 11th Street, Santa Monica CA). Each cast member brainstormed ideas before the writers began composing the plays, which were completed by 6:00 a.m. the next morning. With only twelve hours to rehearse, the actors performed the six new plays, interspersed with musical guest The Leftover Cuties, for one night only before a live audience, on Saturday June 16, 2012.
