A ROCK FEELS NO PAIN to Make World Premiere at Hollywood Fringe
Dylan McCormick's writing and directing debut stars Joe Garcia and Cody Sechrist at the Stephanie Feury Theater.
A ROCK FEELS NO PAIN will premiere as part of the 2026 Hollywood Fringe Festival at the Stephanie Feury Theater in Larchmont Village.
Written and directed by Dylan McCormick, the play centers on two actors left alone on a television set after filming has wrapped for the night. After discovering a dead body, the older actor persuades his younger scene partner to engage in an improvisational exercise inspired by their detective characters. As the game unfolds, deeper personal issues emerge, forcing the younger actor to confront the emotional instability of his colleague.
Blending comedy and drama, the play draws inspiration from detective television series, folk music, and classic two-person theatrical works. The story explores performance, identity, aging, and mental health through a series of increasingly revealing encounters.
The production stars Joe Garcia as Simon and Cody Sechrist as Garfunkel.
