“The Sound of Music” follows the true story of Maria, a spirited young nun who becomes the governess for the seven children of the widowed Captain von Trapp. As Maria introduces joy and music into their lives, the family learns to embrace love, happiness, and each other. The production features iconic songs such as "Do-Re-Mi," "My Favorite Things," and "Climb Every Mountain," which continue to resonate with audiences around the world. Herricks Players shows proudly feature a professional live orchestra and many talented children and adults from the Long Island community.
