Macbitches at Joan and Donald Schaeffer Black Box Theater, Joseph G. Shapiro Family Hall, Hofstra University

Hofstra University's Department of Drama and Dance presents Sophie McIntosh's Macbitches, directed by Ilona Pierce. The story follows Hailey, a freshman acting major who unexpectedly wins the role of Lady Macbeth, whose upperclassmen rivals invite her over to celebrate in a gathering that takes a disturbing turn. Through the young women's interactions, the play explores ambition, competition, and power structures within a BFA Acting Program, spiraling into violence and betrayal.
