Britain mourns the loss of their longest reigning monarch, yet from his mother's shadow steps Charles, her long awaited heir, who is desperate to leave his mark on history. Going against precedent, Charles loudly speaks out against a bill supported by the current party in power. Blinded by his morality he hurls himself into a battle with parliament, the English people and eventually the royal family itself! With Mike Bartlett's Neo- Shakespearian script, we are thrust into the disfunction of the world's most private family as it struggles to keep its hold on the throne!
