When you attend a Linda Eder performance, you can expect a variety of genres to be performed with her soaring voice. She includes a great mesh of standards, Broadway, pop, including material from her own albums.

Ms. Eder looked stunning in a black cocktail dress cinched with a silver belt as she sang at the Tilles Center at CW Post college of Greenvale, Long Island. Opening with “Bells Of Saint Paul” from her album “Christmas Stays The Same”, she put everyone in a festive mood on the cold evening. She chose many numbers from her albums. Among them were "I Will Wait For You" from "Soundtrack", "The Mad Hatter" from "Now", "If I Could" from "Other Side Of Me", and "Vienna" from "It's No Secret Anymore" among others concentrating on "Now" which is Linda's current album.

Of course, she trickled some Broadway in. She chose to sing her signature "Someone Like You" from Jekyll & Hyde in addition to a rousing performance of "Man Of La Mancha".

Among the standards Ms. Eder selected were "On The Street Where You Live", "Blue Skys", and a beautiful rendition of "Rainbows End/Somewhere Over The Rainbow". Of the more current hits, Linda also selected to cover "Everything I Do" which was spectacular.

Ms. Eder's band was remarkable as well. There was Billy Stein was on the Piano, Zev Katz on Bass, Jerry Marotta on Drums, Peter Calo on Guitar, and Allison Cornwell on Keyboard and Backing Vocals. Allisons' vocals complemented Linda's perfectly. You could tell they had great fun as they were joking and bantering in between songs. They were also enthused that someone in the audience left them a six pack of beer that became a running joke throughout the evening.

A talented and fabulous artist, fantastic band, and the beautiful Tilles Center at CW Post add up to a fantastic evening of theater. Linda Eder has been in the business for two decades now and there is absolutely no sign of her slowing down.
