Windmill Library To Host Marathon Screening of Las Vegas History Documentary Series
The free May 17 event will feature all eight films in “The City of Las Vegas – The Decade Series.”
The Las Vegas-Clark County Library District will host a public screening marathon of The City of Las Vegas – The Decade Series on Sunday, May 17 at the Windmill Library.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the free event will present all eight documentary films in the ongoing series, which chronicles the growth and evolution of Las Vegas decade by decade. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The marathon screening coincides with the premiere of the newest installment, The City of Las Vegas: The 1980s, which debuts May 16 on City of Las Vegas TV.
Funded by the Commission for the Las Vegas Centennial and produced by Boyd Productions LLC, the documentary project launched in 2019 with The City of Las Vegas: The Early Years. Since then, new entries have been released annually in conjunction with the city’s May 15 founding anniversary.
The screening will take place at Windmill Library, located at 7060 W. Windmill Lane in Las Vegas.
