The 2012 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year gala celebrates Caetano Veloso's philanthropic, cultural and musical contributions on November 14 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The star-studded tribute dinner will feature Enrique Bunbury, Natalie Cole, Lila Downs, Nelly Furtado, Maria Gadú, Juan Luis Guerra, Seu Jorge, Juanes, Natalia LaFourcade, Tania Libertad, La Mari (Chambao), Alexandre Pires, La Mala Rodriguez, Ivete Sangalo and Alejandro Sanz. The gala will be co-hosted by The Latin Recording Academy® President/CEO Gabriel Abaroa Jr. and Julieta Venegas. 

The 2012 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year Tribute Dinner and Concert is an official Latin GRAMMY Week event. Mario Ruiz is executive producer, Greg Fera is producer. Cheche Alara is musical director (with support from Moon Moosic), Moogie Canazio is music supervisor, and Gustavo Borner is sound engineer.
 
The Latin Recording Academy is an international, membership-based organization comprised of Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking recording artists, musicians, songwriters, producers and other creative and technical recording professionals. The organization is dedicated to improving the quality of life and cultural condition for Latin music and its makers.
