The Kansas City Symphony and Youth Symphony of Kansas City will present a free side-by-side performance in Helzberg Hall on Tuesday, June 11 at 7 p.m. Side-by-side performances give students an opportunity to play with professional musicians, and it is a great experience for all 150 musicians involved. Program includes Brahms’ Academic Festival Overture, Mussorgsky/Rimsky-Korsakov’s A night on Bald Mountain, Grieg’s Suite No. 1 from Peer Gynt and Smetana’s “The Moldau”, No. 2 from Má vlast.
