To showcase the grand Julia Irene Kauffman Casavant Organ in Helzberg Hall, the Kansas City Symphony presents four organ recitals hosted by Michael Barone, host of American Public Media’s popular radio program, Pipedreams. Tom Trenney, organist at First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln, NE, begins the evening with a discussion with Michael Barone about the pieces performed for the evening. Following, Trenney will perform the famous Ives Variations on "America, Bach's Passacaglia and Fuge in C minor, and Schumann's Sketch in D-Flat Major.
