Spring Enchantment caps off the Kansas City Chamber Orchestra's 39th season with a program at Grace and Holy Cathedral that reflects nearly four decades of the orchestra's history. Music Director Bruce Sorrell will lead the ensemble through works including Elgar's Serenade for Strings and a Mozart symphony, alongside Forrest Pierce's The Twelve Kisses, a piece originally written for KCCO and given its world premiere in 2010. Soprano Victoria Botero will perform as soloist in Pierce's work, which reimagines the Song of Songs in both Hebrew and English for voice and chamber orchestra. Sorrell will also deliver a pre-concert talk at 6:30 p.m. before the 7:30 p.m. performance.
