Based on the hit film and true events, Catch Me If You Can was created by a Tony-winning team, with a book by Terrence McNally (Ragtime, The Full Monty) and a catchy score by Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman (Hairspray). It’s a nostalgic nod to the 1960s, wrapped up in quick-witted dialogue and smooth choreography that keep the story engaging. At the center is Frank Jr., a young runaway with charm to spare and no intention of following the rules. He switches from job to job—pilot, doctor, lawyer—all on fake credentials and total confidence. But every great con artist has a pursuer, and for Frank, that’s Carl Hanratty, the determined FBI agent who makes it his mission to catch the kid who’s always one step ahead.
